Things to Do After A Fire

Often SERVPRO of Vicksburg & Yazoo is called when a fire is ongoing either by the customer, an insurance agent or insurance adjuster.  These are some of the pointers that we have for our customers.  

*Call your insurance company and report the claim

*Take pictures of damage 

*Make sure the property is secure, we at SERVPRO of Vicksburg & Yazoo can help you with a board up

*If you are renting, contact the owner/landlord immediately 

*Contact family and friends to let them know you are ok

*Keep all receipts for any personal items you may immediately need to replace-i.e. clothes, make-up, toiletries  or food

*Notify your children's school so they will understand that the students are under unusual stress

*Contact utility companies to make them aware of the situation
